> CO2
The WS LTD system uses waste heat from thermal processes on a low temperature level or renewable energy as solar energy or geothermal energy. Thus, the system needs no fossil fuels and only very little electrical power for drinking water production.
The use of waste heat also opens up the possibility of trading with CO2 certificates.
> SALINISATION
The WS LTD process removes salt, minerals and other pollutions. As the process is highly tolerant to the salinity of the feed water, the plant can be installed to retrofit existing reverse osmosis plants.
Further processing of such by-products opens up new possibilities for sustainable environmental management or even the production of salt as commodity.
> CHEMICALS
WS LTD plants require only small amounts of chemicals to avoid deposits of lime, gypsum etc. in the plant. In contrast to RO plants the process requires no additional chemicals to prevent biological deposits (biofilms).
